Laboratory automation for Sykehuset Østfold HF
The procurement includes automation lines with connected analysis instruments combined in a fully automatic system, including middleware, conveyor belt, pre-analytical functions (replacement of the current automation system at Kalnes), as well as free-standing instruments at the locations in Askim, Fredrikstad, Moss, Sarpsborg and Halden in order to ensure method equality and connection to a joint middleware system. The automation system ought to have a high degree of flexibility both as regards the physical solution and middleware and it can easily incorporate new analysis instruments, modules and tests (analyses) that can be relevant in the coming years. The aim of the procurement is to see to the Hospital Østfold ́s level of activity and the need for development over the next 10 years, and the solution shall contribute to realising the Centre for Laboratory Medicine ́s basic idea that everything that can be automated shall be automated and everything that can be connected to an automation system shall be connected independently of the discipline. - SYKEHUSINNKJØP HFVADSØ
Pipetting robot for the Pathology Department at Helse Stavanger HF
The objective of the procurement is to enter into a procurement contract for the purchase of 1 complete pipetting robot, including software and any necessary licence(s) for intended use, to the Pathology Department at Helse Stavanger HF. The pipetting robot shall be delivered with UV light, thermosclers and a fully validated method for Illumina TSO500 v2 and KAPA EvoPrep Boost Kit v2. At the same time a framework agreement shall be signed for the procurement of associated equipment dependant consumables. An option is to be offered for service, cf. Annex 10 - Overview of service levels, service courses, extended training in programming/advanced functions (if offered), suitable table for lab (if table model), barcode reader with the necessary software (if offered), fully validated method for Illumina TSO500 ctDNAv2, programming and verification of the modified Roche KAPA EvoPrep Boost Kit v2 protocol and other life costs (spare parts/wearing parts/maintenance parts). The option for a suitable table applies for 4 years from the last electronic signing date. Other options apply from the last electronic signing date and as long as the equipment is in use by the Contracting Authority. The options can be price adjusted in accordance with the procurement contract point 4.2. The consumption of equipment dependent consumables can vary from year to year. The estimated pipetting extent is approx. 700 samples per annum. The maximum pipetting scope is 2,000 samples per annum. The stated consumption/extent is an estimate for information to the tenderer and is not binding for the future contract volume. The pipetting robot shall be used to pipet patient samples and reagents for preparing NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) library for small and medium scale analyses/research project. The background for the procurement is increased use of NGS in routine operations, clinical studies and research projects, and as a result there is a greater need for flexibility in all parts of the analysis process. Intruments for clinical chemistry to the Department of Laboratory Medicine at UNN HF Tromsø
Laboratory medicine at the University Hospital of North Norway health trust shall procure a new automation line for clinical chemistry. Thus, 1 module must be procured for immunochemistry, including a cobas pro e-module, as this is the only module on the market that is certified by NOKLUS for hcg as a cancer marker. A contract is planned to be signed with Roche Diagnostics Norway AS during August 2026. The competition is therefore impossible for technical reasons, as there is only one specific supplier who can deliver, cf. foa paragraph 13-4 letter b second and third paragraphs. Equipment for weekend sequencing for the Department of Medical Genetics at UNN HF Tromsø.
The Medical Genetics Department at the University Hospital of North Norway (UNN) intends to procure 1 sequentialator from PacBio to read long fragments of long-read sequencing (DNA and RNA sequencing). The instruments shall be used for diagnostics and shall replace and supplement the current diagnostics based on short-read sequencing (SRS). This is because LRS detects some types of genetic variation better than SRS, e.g. major structural deviations and methylation status. Method transfer shall therefore be carried out from the current SRS to a new LRS for selected medical indications and it is therefore very important that these sequentators deliver a sequence of very high quality and reproducibility. There are several technical specifications that are decisive for achieving the quality we need for this purpose, for example: - The sequencing must be able to carry out sequencing with long read lengths of DNA and RNA for clinical samples. The read length of sequential fragments must at least be median 10-15 kb. At least 90% of the bases must have a quality of Q30 or higher in a typical 30X human genome. The instrument shall be particularly suitable for detecting major structural deviations and methylation status. - The data quality of SNP variants and short parts <50 bp must be at least as good as that achieved by Illumina SRS. This is important so that the analytical sensitivity of the analysis offer is not reduced for these types of variants and that the quality of the analysis offer is not, therefore, impaired for the patient analyses that shall only be carried out on a new long-read sequentator. - Sensitivity and precision must be documented in a reference dataset for the entire genome (i.e. not just the encoded areas in the genome) with the following parameters met: (i) F1 score > 99 % for SNS. (ii) F1 score > 95 % for INDEL's. (iii) F1 score >90 % for structural variants (SV's). (iv) Recall or F1-score for SNVs and INDEL are for technically challenging medical relevant genes (CMRG, as defined in Wagner et al., Nature Biotechnology 2022: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41587-021-01158-1) at least on par with Illumina SRS. High F1 scores (low false positive and negative variant detection) are decisive in avoiding extremely time-consuming and resource-demanding downstream verification of variants/missing cause variants. - Variantcalling to the mentioned standards must be achieved with an average 30X sequencing depth. This is required to avoid the need for deeper sequencing, including duotone readings, in order to achieve the necessary data quality. The need for deeper sequencing will increase the costs and time consumption, which is not acceptable. - Sequence data cannot have systematic bias in basecalling and variant calculation, including in homopolymer areas. Of the above mentioned reasons, PacBio, as far as the contracting authority is aware of, is the only supplier who can fulfil the requirements. The mandate for the procurement of new instruments for analysing immunology shall be seen in connection with the need for an instrument for allergy examinations. The aim is to gather analyses of samples for immunological and allergological examinations in one instrument. Open tender contest in accordance with the Law on Public Procurements and the Public Procurement Regulations, parts I and part II. The objective of the procurement is to enter into a procurement contract for the purchase of 1 complete dye laser (PDL) for the Skin Department at Helse Stavanger HF including safety equipment, hand piece(s) necessary for intended use and any scanner(s) necessary for intended use. At the same time a framework agreement shall be signed for equipment dependent consumables (colour substances and consumables for the cooling system). In addition an option shall be offered for the following: - service, cf. Estimated volume of dyes: The department expects 8,000 pulses per annum. The maximum volume is estimated volume + 50 %. The options shall be valid for as long as the laser is in use. The laser shall be used for the treatment of port wine stains (port-wine stains) and other vascular malformations on the face, throat and head of children and adults. It is important that the laser provides good possibilities for quick and painless treatment, especially as the laser is to be used for treatment on the face of children in the first year of life without the use of general anaesthesia. The maximum price of the investment is NOK 1,700,000 excluding VAT. The investment is the amount that will be paid for the main product (complete dye lasers including safety equipment, hand piece(s) necessary for the intended use and any scanners necessary for intended use).
