Das Gebäude wird unterhalb der bestehenden WIC Halle 1 errichtet und an die Forschungsinfrastruktur angeschlossen. Die Maßnahme dient der Unterbringung des Exzellenzclusters 'GreenRobust'. Eine baugleiche Referenzstruktur existiert. Beauftragt werden Objektplanungsleistungen und Laborplanungsleistungen für S2-Labore (Besondere Leistung). Geschätzte Gesamtbaukosten: 11 Mio. € brutto (Baupreisindex I/2026 = 193,2).
