European Commission, DG GROW - Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEsBrusselsDeadline: Aug 20The HAB-Hub Pilot project (PP33) aims to assess, improve and scale-up existing Earth Observation (EO) data, services and methodologies to detect in near-real-time (NRT) harmful algal bloom (HAB) events in European waters. The project will evaluate at a pan European scale the performance of methods and products already applied in existing operational EU services as well as phytoplankton bloom monitoring systems worldwide. The assessment will be carried out in retrospective mode, testing the capacity of alternative systems of successfully detecting and documenting past bloom events. The best performing system should then be evaluated during a NRT 6-month experiment. The purpose of this forthcoming contract is to provide the EO data needed for the assessment in retrospective mode, to develop a web-based platform (or dashboard) that will host the NRT experiment and will display and disseminate its results, and to run the NRT experiment with the appropriate data.High-speed High-resolution Spinning-disk Confocal Microscope for live cell and fixed samples
University of HelsinkiUniversity of HelsinkiDeadline: Aug 20We ask tenders for an advanced spinning-disk confocal microscopy system (High-speed High-resolution Spinning-disk Confocal Microscope for live cell and fixed samples). Instrumentation will be acquired to the Biomedicum Imaging Unit, imaging core facility within the University of Helsinki. Maximum price of system is 450 000 € (VAT 0 %), including shipping, installation, user training, and insurance until final acceptance of instrument. System must be delivered and installed within 14 weeks from purchase order date. In addition, we ask annual preventative maintenance contract for total 5 years after warranty period as an option. Price per year after warranty period shall be indicated and total price over five years given (for the evaluation). The buyer reserves the right to decide at the end of each yearly period whether to accept the option of continuing the service contract for another year (up to maximum five years) at tendered price.LA3673C-UCC-CFT for the Supply of a Fully Integrated Precision Ferroelectric and Piezoelectric Analysis Platform
Education Procurement Service (EPS)LimerickDeadline: Aug 24Tyndall National Institute, University College Cork requests the supply of a Precision Ferroelectric and Piezoelectric Analysis Platform, comprising of seven complementary subsystems with functionality requirements as follows 1. Measurement Core 2. Optical Metrology 3. Thermal Modules 4. HV Subsystem 5. Fixturing and Probing 6. Workstation 7. Infrastructure The Platform must have the ability to perform comprehensive, high resolution ferroelectric and piezoelectric characterisation of ferroic materials, spanning bulk ceramics, ultrathin films and full wafers, across a broad temperature range. The primary purpose of this platform is to provide a unified, high performance infrastructure for the fundamental research and industrial benchmarking of advanced ferroic and piezoelectric materials. It will be utilised for the precision characterisation of material properties at various stages of development, from initial thin film growth and bulk ceramic synthesis to full wafer level device integration and reliability testing, supporting the development of next generation sensors, actuators, and beyond CMOS computing architectures. Materials with controlled ferroic responses are key to enabling next generation technologies. Ferroelectric and piezoelectric materials are vital for precision actuators, sensors, photonic systems, and non volatile memories, while multiferroics, combining electric and magnetic order, present transformative potential for ultra low power, non volatile logic and memory.ID 6396032 - AFBI – Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of an Imaging Flow-Cytometry System for Automated Shipboard Phytoplankton Analysis to Support the SEUPB PEACEPLUS-Funded ACCLIMATISE Project
Construction and Procurement DeliveryBelfastDeadline: Jul 19The Agri‑Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI) is one of the world’s leading providers of scientific research and evidence-based services to government, non-governmental, and commercial organisations. With a unique breadth of facilities and multidisciplinary scientific capability spanning agriculture, animal health, food, the environment, biosciences, and economics, AFBI undertakes a wide range of impactful research projects for both the public and private sectors.Funding has been secured through the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) administered PEACEPLUS scheme to deliver the ACCLIMATISE project, an all-island initiative aimed at developing an integrated marine climate change monitoring and assessment toolbox for the island of Ireland. As part of this programme, AFBI is seeking to procure next‑generation observational technologies capable of monitoring and quantifying changes in plankton communities and associated marine food webs within the Irish Sea. The Fisheries and Aquatic Ecosystems Branch (FAEB) of AFBI requires the procurement of one flow cytometry-based plankton imaging system capable of high resolution imaging, optical triggering, and automated morphological analysis of marine plankton and suspended particulates.
