Der Bahnhof Rostock Seehafen wurde in den 60er Jahren erbaut, dem entsprechend sind die vorhandenen Anlagen instandhaltungsintensiv und erneuerungsbedürftig. Es ist vorgesehen den heutigen Spurplan zu optimieren und rationeller zu gestalten. Die verbleibenden Anlagen werden erneuert bzw. modernisiert und in diesem Zusammenhang an die zu erwartenden Anforderungen angepasst. Ausgewählte Bahnhofsgleise werden für eine Radsatzlast von 25 t ertüchtigt und für Züge mit einer Gesamtzuglänge von 740 m optimiert. Die bestehende Stellwerkstechnik (Alttechnik) wird entgegen der BAST durch ESTW Stellwerkstechnik ersetzt. Mit dem Neuaufsatz der Leit- und Sicherungstechnik werden zusätzliche Fahrstraßen bis in die Terminals errichtet. Die Inbetriebnahme ist in 3 Baustufen vorgesehen. Gegenstand dieser Ausschreibung ist die Planungsleistung nach HOAI der Baustufe 1/Bauphase 1.1 Leistungsphase 3 und 4 sowie optional die Leistungsphase 6 und 7.
